The TL-21 is a superior manual boost controller because:

• It delivers consistent and precise turbo boost control,

• It's ball and spring design delivers turbo spool-up faster than many other controllers, including electronic units,

 Exterior Construction:

• The Body - Solid Brass. Run over it, hit it with a hammer. It is up to the task. Precision-machined on the inside with low tolerances.
• The Hose Fittings - Solid brass, an inch long, four barbs. The hose has plenty to hang on to during the stresses of pressure fluctuations, reducing the chance of hose slippage when it is least wanted.
• The Knob - Durable, high-temperature composite plastic. Stays cooler to the touch. It has a one-inch diameter and has a positive-grip knurled head. Holds tight to it's thick stud.

 Interior Construction:

• The Ball - A polished, precision stainless-steel ball bearing performs double duty. It's super-smooth surface mates beautifully with its seat. It's stainless steel construction provides exceptional corrosion resistance ensuring that the ball and spring that pushes against it never catch on each other.
• The Seat - The receptacle with which the ball makes a seal. It's matched perfectly with the ball, preventing the "boost signal" from reaching the wastegate actuator until the boost has reached the desired setting. When the ball is resting in the seat, no boost signal gets by.
• The Spring - Custom-wound and highly resilient, it performs as well after years of use as it does when brand new. The spring keeps the ball pressed against the seat until the desired boost level is reached.
• The Spring Cap - A durable forged metal surface on which the adjustment stud rotates. Prevents the stud from binding the spring and serves as a retainer to help the spring from working its way into the adjustment stud channel, should the knob and stud ever fall out.
• Precision Machining - The most important component of all. Interior surfaces are precision machined so that all aspects of the unit work with accuracy and reliability.

 Each TL-21 is delivered as a complete kit as shown, but customization is available.  Just the MBC unit is available if it is to be used as part of a larger turbo kit.  Branding is available so that the kit is delivered as the "Perkins Automotive Performance Boost Controller", for example.  Contact us with your specific needs.
